 Nuova Arcadia Italian language School for foreigners is a cultural Association that was born from the wills of a group of friends each of whom involved in the field of education, training, tourism, cultural and linguistic mediation for years; and all of them have a great passion: the love for Italy, for Abruzzo and its priceless heritage of art, history, culture and traditions.
New Arcadia has its headquarters at Casalbordino, in Abruzzo, the green heart of Italy. Its name refers to the oldest and finest cultural and literary experiences and its aim is to be a reference point for the promotion of the Italian language, the Italian traditions and its civilization, in its most remarkable aspects.
Why to learn Italian? Because Italian is a language of culture. Speaking Italian means having access not only to an extremely valuable literary heritage, essential to the history of Europe and to extremely precious humanistic and scientific texts, but also to Italian theatre, music, opera, cinema and television.
Italian is a language of study. Every year a number of students decide to attend our schools, universities, academies and libraries. Who want to be physicians, dentists and veterinarians, can study at publics Italian universities . Their degrees are valid in the U.S.
Italian is a language of work. Managers, investors, technicians, artisans and workers get in touch with Italy’s word of industry, craft and services, which crosses the borders of our country.
Italian is the language of science, Italian is in fact the Romance language closest to Latin. A knowledge of Italian, therefore, will go far in helping one to understand the whys and wherefores of the English language, which has a very large percentage of words of Latin derivation.
Italian is the language of Art. According to UNESCO (the cultural and educational agency for the United Nations), over 60 percent of the entire world’s art treasures are found in Italy.
Speaking Italian will turn a visit to our country and its friendly and hospitable people, its artistic cities and its beautiful nature into a real pleasure!
